What is a Sleep Disorder?

Most sleep disorders are marked by difficulty falling or staying asleep, daytime drowsiness, sleep-disordered breathing, or abnormal movements, behaviors, or sensations during sleep.

Two of the most common sleep disorders are insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea.

Other disorders include parasomnia, restless leg syndrome, narcolepsy, and sleep movement disorders.  These conditions impact the quality of life leaving many people too tired to enjoy life during the day and often impacting other family members.
