Door County Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit is staffed by our experienced hospitalists and nurses. The ICU provides care for geriatric, surgical or medical patients who have present or potential life-threatening conditions requiring state-of-the-art technology including life support equipment and continuous vital signs monitoring. Our dedicated nursing team provides 24-hour intensive skilled nursing care.
Spacious rooms with large windows, terrazzo floors, and soothing colors create a calm environment for patient care. A comfortable sitting area, overlooking the gardens and grounds of DCMC’s campus, provides a quiet space for visiting family.
The Intensive Care Unit is equipped for advanced technology and nursing skills for the patient who requires closer observation than a general nursing floor can provide. Care is provided by registered nursing staff with required Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).

Our state-of-the-art Med/Surg department includes a comfortable, light-filled family waiting area, with an adjoining private consultation room. Patient rooms are spacious and quiet, featuring large windows and beautiful artwork.
