SNF Earns Another Five Star Rating

Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help consumers, their families, and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. Nursing homes with five stars are considered to have much above average quality in categories like health inspection ratings, staffing and quality measures in eleven different clinical and physical measures.
The CMS five-star rating consistently issued to Door County Medical Center, year after year, is a reflection of a high quality of care, excellent RN staffing ratios and successful health inspections.
Skilled Nursing Facility staff practice the art of nursing as defined by the American Nurses Association: Nursing is the protection, promotion, and optimization of health and abilities, prevention of illness and injury, facilitation of healing, alleviation of suffering through the diagnosis and treatment of human response, and advocacy in the care of individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations.

The Door County Medical Skilled Nursing Facility staff are a team of intelligent, intuitive and empathetic individuals who are truly dedicated to providing care to residents.
